Help a town planner design two site plans for a school, using a grid. Along the way, practise some different ways to see and represent fractions.
Assign regions on a 10 x 10 grid for different things such as classrooms, a playground, canteen or car park.
Calculate the percentage of the total site used for each region. Use a number line with fractions on it to represent the percentage.
