This TV ad presents the process of stopping a vehicle in the two elements represented in the stopping distance formula: reaction distance ("Both drivers first react, and then, a moment later....") and stopping distance ("they brake..."), and highlights the potential impact (literally) of a marginally higher speed. This ad was used circa 2006 by the NSW RTA.
