GeoGebra HowTo: Construct a Parabola using focus point and directrix

Preview of

Resource Type: GeoGebra, Tutorial

Student step-by-step guide on constructing a parabola using a focus and a directrix. The construction is a little different than students may expect, which could open up discussion about why the construction works (it exploits other locus ideas: perpendicular bisector and perpendicular distance).
