In this video the Mathologer trys to streamline an ingenious proof due to the famous French mathematician Charles Hermite into the hopefully simplest and shortest completely self-contained proof of the irrationality of pi.
This video mentions another version of this proof that made an appearance in the 2003 NSW Mathematics Extension 2 HSC Examination.
