Turns out the Sydney Opera House is made from sections of a sphere and the Sydney Harbour Bridge has a feel of the catenary about it.

Thanks for this. I used the idea from this to create a Y10 resource which allowed them to look for parabolas in the real world and then try to work out their formulas.
