Fold a Hyperbola

Create a hyperbola on a piece of paper by folding a circle and a dot.

Some tips:

  • use a dark pen to draw the circle and dot (permanent marker works great)
  • if possible, baking paper would be better than normal paper as it is opaque
  • use something round to trace for the circle
  • once you've folded the page many times, use a pencil and ruler to draw over the creases to make the hyperbola a bit clearer
